A Clear Vision for the Irish Market

Daniel Boulton, Sales & Procurement Director, Clearwater tells IKTG why the brand’s design-led product portfolio and commitment to innovative technology makes it the perfect partner for discerning Irish retailers

Clearwater was founded in 2000 and over the last 26 years has established itself as a specialist kitchen sink and tap brand. Among its impressive collection are granite, stainless steel and ceramic sinks, offering consumers a varied range of choices to suit all styles.

‘Our tap collection is just as comprehensive, with innovations in technology, and on-trend finishes,’ explains Daniel Boulton, Clearwater’s Sales & Procurement Director. ‘We also specialise in water filtration, as well as hot water and sensor taps, which we offer in a wide choice of finishes.

‘Most products are backed by market-leading warranties and supported by an excellent after-sales service. Supply reliability is assured through high stock-holding and our own delivery fleet operating from our Tewkesbury-based distribution centre.’

 Becoming a Clearwater Partner

Clearwater has strong partnerships with MVI Hazel and Häfele Ireland, which distribute the brand’s sinks and taps to Irish retailers.

‘We’ve been working with both companies for over five years and they cover the whole of Ireland, providing our complete portfolio to a growing network of Irish retailers,’ says Daniel.

To become a Clearwater stockist, an Irish retailer would need to set up an account with MVI Hazel or Häfele Ireland. Retailers that come on board relish the additional choice on offer. There are more than 2,000 SKUs spanning classic and contemporary styles within Clearwater’s growing portfolio, which gives customers endless choice and the ability to meet virtually every brief.

Daniel says, ‘The Irish economy is strong and there’s continued growth in the housing market, which we’re keen to capitalise on. The average size of Irish homes is also bigger, which creates greater opportunities for wow-factor sinks and taps to feature in these spaces.

‘From a personal perspective, I’ve got a strong affinity with Ireland as my partner’s Irish, so I’ve always been passionate about servicing the market. And business-wise, there’s a lot of untapped potential in the Irish market and we see it as a real growth area for Clearwater. From our experience Irish retailers are crying out for better choice, improved service, and local stock availability.’

Products that make Clearwater stand out

Functionality and unique selling points are key for Clearwater and the brand has an extensive range of pull-out taps that are proving ever more popular, alongside its Smart sinks, featuring the “Smart” accessory rail system, with its accessory ledge accommodating a chopping board and folding stainless steel draining mat.

However, Daniel believes the brand’s Twist & Spray taps are among its hero products.

He says, ‘It’s a tricky one as there are over 2,000 SKUs within Clearwater’s portfolio. Taps fitted with the unique Twist & Spray aerator offer two flow types – a non-splash aerated flow and a needle jet spray – that can be changed with a simple twist of the flange. It’s created quite a stunning feature out of what is often considered a standard product and it’s been really well received.’

Overcoming challenges in the marketplace

For many in the KBB industry, 2025 was a challenging year but Daniel assures IKTG that Clearwater is passionate about investing in NPD to provide its customers with the products they need to attract consumers and capitalise on sales.

‘When market conditions are tough, many companies batten down the hatches and stop investing in innovation,’ he says. ‘Our portfolio is fresh and our products are vibrant and trend-setting because we know that’s what our customers, and the wider industry, needs.

‘We also understand the importance of stockholding and work closely with MVI Hazel and Häfele Ireland to ensure they have good stockholding and can fulfil orders quickly and efficiently.’
