Don’t miss out on your chance to be recognised as one of Ireland’s top retailers or suppliers at Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Awards.

Returning after a short hiatus, Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Awards, sponsored by Cosentino, promises to be bigger and better than ever before with three new categories joining the line-up for 2022.

‘This event recognises the very best of Ireland’s kitchen industry so it’s particularly significant for Uform to be able to help recognise retailers and designers who are leading the way in design innovation,’ says Oliver Phelan, National Accounts Manager, Uform. ‘It’s been four years since the last event, so we’re very much looking forward to being able to celebrate and share the successes in our industry again.’

The first new award for 2022 will recognise those retailers who excel in online promotion of their business. Is your digital marketing approach bringing in leads and increasing business opportunities, or have you built up a loyal Instagram community? Then the new Best Use of Digital Marketing award is for you.

We have also introduced more awards dedicated to suppliers, in order to celebrate the excellent standard of manufacturing and distribution we have on offer in this country. Ireland is a hub for innovation and some of the biggest names in the business now operate on these shores enabling the Irish kitchen industry to go up against any of its global counterparts.

Michael McElhatton, Owner and Co-founder, Mountfield Kitchens believes it is an opportunity to give back to the very people that support him and his business.

‘‘We are delighted to be able to sponsor Supplier of the Year,’ he says. ‘It gives us the chance to acknowledge the companies that contribute to us being able to provide an excellent end product for our customers.’

New in the line-up for 2022 is Innovative Product of the Year which provides an opportunity for suppliers to put forward a cutting-edge product that has changed the face of kitchen design.

Oisin O’Kane, Owner of Sinc Kitchens, who is sponsoring the award says, ‘Innovation is not just technological advance, although this a key element, more importantly it’s the ability to re-evaluate your business, be critical of it, and find solutions to improve it.

‘Innovation requires investment, personal and financial, it also requires nerves to take risks and it takes leadership to bring your people along on this journey of change.’

It’s never been more important to innovate to bring about change, and one of the ways the kitchen trade is demonstrating this is through becoming increasingly more carbon neutral. The introduction of Sustainable Supplier of the Year reflects the industry’s shift towards a more sustainable future.

Paul Glynn, Managing Director of Topform explains why it’s so important for the Galway-based supplier to support this award, ‘We are very grateful to get the chance to be involved with Sustainability Supplier of the Year. We have just begun our journey to make our products in a better way, taking the impact we have on our environment into consideration.  We have a lot to learn and we applaud all those who think in the same way and accept the changes ahead of us. Good luck to all those who have the courage to put their names forward, we look forward to meeting up again in person at the awards ceremony.’

Winners in all 11 categories will be announced on the night, which will take the form of a drinks reception with entertainment from the Hit Machine Drummers, Gala Awards Dinner, followed by a Casino and entertainment. The awards will be hosted by celebrity chef Paul Rankin.

Not only is being nominated for Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Awards an outstanding achievement which will set you apart from your competition and help win new business and encourage customer confidence, the evening of November 25, 2022 is the first opportunity the Irish trade has had to come together to celebrate and network since the pandemic began.

‘AB Distributors and our brands De Dietrich and NordMende are delighted to be associated with the return of the IKT Industry Awards later this year,’ says Eamon Lennox, Sales Director AB Distributors Northern Ireland. ‘Our premium built-in appliance brand De Dietrich is sponsoring the Top Retailer category and NordMende is sponsoring the Casino event which takes place after the industry awards dinner. We are really looking forward to catching up with all our colleagues and having the chance to network in person once again.’

Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Awards are free to enter and every finalist receives a complimentary ticket to the event for them and a plus one.

If you aren’t in it, you can’t win it, so make sure you enter before August 19, 2022 for your chance to be crowned a winner at the 2022 IKT Awards.
