Paul Rankin to host the 2022 Awards

Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Guide is delighted to announce the return of the esteemed IKT Awards taking place this year on November 25.

With 11 categories up for grabs you can register for an entry pack today. The awards are free to enter and are judged by a team of independent design and business experts ensuring every finalist and winner is chosen on merit only.

This year the glittering Gala Awards Ceremony, sponsored by Cosentino, will take place on Friday, November 25 at the Titanic Buildings, Belfast. The ceremony will be hosted by celebrity chef Paul Rankin and all those who attend can expect a night of entertainment and celebration as we recognise the fantastic achievements of our very own, here in Ireland.

‘We’re delighted to see IKT Awards returning,’ says Deborah Redmond, Marketing, Flanagan Fittings. ‘The awards are always a fantastic night out and a great way for the entire industry in Ireland to get together. As an Irish-owned business we always look forward to seeing local businesses receive recognition for their dedication and hard work.’

In response to the current trading landscape, we have added three brand new categories for 2022; Best Use of Digital Marketing, Innovative Product of the Year, and Sustainable Supplier of the Year.

Some of the biggest names in kitchen retail have stepped up to support the awards and we would like to extend our appreciation to all of our sponsors; Cosentino, Bodel, ArtiCAD, Fisher & Paykel, Smeg, Uform, AB Distributers, Siemens, Mountfield Kitchens, Egger, Topform, Sinc Kitchens, and Flanagan Fittings for their continued support in helping IKTG champion the very best in Irish kitchen Retail.

This year we are looking for exceptional innovators who stand out among their peers as being highly motivated and dedicated to the industry.

Oisin O’Kane, Director of Sinc Kitchens believes thinking outside of the box is an essential quality each business leader must possess.

‘During the last two years innovation has been crucial, not just for success but for survival,’ he says. ‘We have all been forced to look differently at our businesses and make changes we would otherwise have thought of as too risky. It requires nerves to take risks and then it takes leadership to bring your people along on this journey of change.

‘We feel Innovation brings its own rewards, but as a community we should recognise and applaud those who lead the way, and make it that bit easier for us to follow.’

Entries to the awards close on Friday, August 19, 2022, after which three finalists will be chosen for each category, apart from the Mike Keenan Lifetime Achievement title which is selected by the IKTG editorial team. The winners in each category will be revealed at the 2022 awards ceremony in Belfast.

Winning an IKT Award will not only impress potential customers but it is also an opportunity to recognise the additional work your team has put in during the last two challenging years.

The evening of November 25, 2022 promises to be bigger and better than ever before as the industry comes together for the first time since 2018.

John Leckey, Director, Bodel, says, ‘It will be great to mix, socialise and chat with customers face to face, in the fantastic surroundings of the Titanic building, after two years of limited socialising.

‘It is always a great event and Bodel are delighted to be a sponsor and to celebrate the success, design, quality, and ingenuity of our customers and industry again. We are looking forward to seeing you there and hope everyone has a great night!’
