The latest industry appointments - March/April

Tony Johnson

Regional Sales Manager, Rangemaster

 Rangemaster, part of Middleby Corporation, has appointed Tony Johnson as Regional Sales Manager for the South East region.  

Tony has worked in the industry for over 17 years and brings with him a wealth of experience in the appliance sector. He previously worked at Electrolux Group, including the AEG, Electrolux and Zanussi brands, with roles across customer care, training, business development and regional account management, liaising with builders’ merchants and kitchen studio customers.

In his new role, Tony will work closely with the appliance division to support customers – including kitchen studios, specialists and Euronics dealers – while developing the company’s client base in the South East region, which includes London, Essex, Kent and Sussex.

Tony said, ‘I am excited to have become part of the Rangemaster family, it is a fantastic opportunity to represent a British manufacturer. I’m looking forward to working closely with Lee Harris, head of Rangemaster sales in the UK, and the rest of the team to support existing customers and strengthen our presence in the region.’

 

Max Girdwood

Marketing Support Coordinator, Franke 

Franke has appointed Max Girdwood as Marketing Support Coordinator after he successfully completed a Level 4 Marketing Executive Apprenticeship with the company.

In his full-time role, 20-year-old Max is responsible for supporting Franke’s UK marketing team on a wide range of tasks, including updating the company website, overseeing the design and development of the brand’s suite of brochures and marketing literature and managing the image library. 

Max began his 18-month apprenticeship programme with Franke in 2021 where he undertook both on and off the job training overseen by apprenticeship provider The JGA Group. After successfully completing various assessments, he was awarded a CIM Certificate in Marketing before securing the role with Franke.

Max said, ‘I’m delighted to have been made a permanent addition to the Franke team and to have the chance to continue developing my marketing skills within this prestigious business. I chose to complete an apprenticeship because of the opportunity to learn new skills and earn on the job. It’s been a fantastic experience that’s paved the way to an exciting new career, and I would highly recommend this route to other young people.’     

 

Marion Morton

Head of Commercial, Sirius Buying Group

Joining the senior leadership team, Marion has over 20 years of experience in the trade and will be helping drive growth-oriented development plans, working closely with Sirius Approved Suppliers and Members to continue to develop exclusive opportunities to group members in order for them to grow their businesses more efficiently. 

Marion will be engaging with members and suppliers on all aspects of group business planning, building on both current and new initiatives. She will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the commercial strategies within the group, carrying out targeted analysis, as well as negotiating new and future development opportunities in order for members to make the best use of all commercial deliverables and ultimately, safeguard the independent.

Marion said, ‘A key part of my role will be sharing monthly detailed market data and industry intelligence which will guide future business development plans and give us rich insights for strong future growth. As a close-knit, yet highly progressive business community, I am committed to building and maintaining the best possible partnerships and exclusive deals so that both Sirius Members and Suppliers, can enjoy profitable outcomes in equal measure.’
