Who can enter?

This award will honour a kitchen designer that works within an Irish kitchen studio, who has created a contemporary/modern kitchen design in the past two years that meets with the client’s wish-list and comes in under a budget of £30,000/€35,000* including appliances.

Entry Criteria

The kitchen will fulfil the client’s requirements and lifestyle in terms of practicality and design. The designer will be able to demonstrate how and why they chose the materials and appliances and will outline any innovative solutions or modifications they may have used to create their final design. The designer will also be able to explain how they overcame any problems and show a breakdown of how they managed their budget

How to enter

Entrants are required to register their entry at iktg.ie/register after May 1, 2025 and answer the following questions (up to 250 words per question.)

  • Outline the full client brief, including budget breakdown (to include all installation costs and appliances).

  • Demonstrate how you approached and managed the project, including how you overcame any problems that may have arisen during the design and installation process.

  • Give a detailed description of the final design and outline what materials, products, and bespoke elements were included.

  • How would you evaluate the overall design process and what ideas can be applied to future projects as a result?

Entries to be submitted online

  • Only one entry per business for each category, however, companies can enter as many categories as they wish.

  • To be considered all entry questions must be answered with a maximum of 250 words per question.

  • All Classic & Contemporary Design Projects must have been designed and installed within the two years from the entry deadline (in other words since August 2023) and stated budgets for designs must be for the completion of the entire project, including installation, appliances and VAT where appropriate.

  • All finalists are required to complete a 10-minute presentation with the judges, except for Top Retailer of the Year and Supplier of the Year finalists who are required to submit a 15-minute presentation.

Photography

  • No more than 10 photographs to be submitted with each category.

  • All photography must be high resolution (over 300dpi).

  • If images are too large to email please send them via WeTransfer or a Dropbox link.

  • IKTG reserves the right to retain any images submitted and use in print and a multimedia presentation at the Gala Awards Ceremony. Entrants must have permission to use

    these photographs as stated above before submitting.
