Well known names from the kitchen industry travelled from all over Ireland and the UK to attend the night of glamour that marked the end of our awards process from entries through to final judging.
For the fourth year running we were overwhelmed by the response we received from the very beginning of the process. From the amount of entries and their calibre, we have been delighted by the support that the awards have received, which is a testament to the acumen that is attached to winning an IKT Award. We could not have pulled off such a fantastic night without the time and effort of everyone who took part.
Our judges had the most difficult task of selecting the finalists and the winners, and completed the job with integrity and enthusiasm. So a big thank you to: Des Ewing, Des Ewing Architects; Johann Muldoon, Manor Architects; Frank Shortt, 20-20 Fusion; Neil Mathews, Neil Mathews Architects; Catherine McGreevy, Grant Thornton NI and Grainne McVeigh, Invest NI.
The awards this year were sponsored by Dekton by Cosentino and a big thank you to them and also to the sponsors of each of the individual awards. They include: Caple, uform, Silestone by Cosentino, Quooker, Bauknecht, Siemens and Flanagan Fittings. Thanks also to NordMende who sponsored our fantastic casino and the companies that donated all of our fabulous raffle prizes and helped us to raise £1,450 for local breast cancer charity, Pretty ‘n’ Pink.
All the different elements from beginning to end came together perfectly, and as such the night which was hosted by UTV’s Gillian Porter, went off without a hitch. The reaction on the night from winners, nominees and guests was fantastic to hear and a thoroughly well enjoyed night was had all round.
Our aim with these awards is to celebrate the kitchen industry in Ireland and to encourage familiar faces and newcomers to stay passionate about the development of the industry and the growth of new and exciting design and manufacturing innovations. The IKT Awards are providing a platform for excellence and optimism for the future of kitchen design in Ireland and offers an evening to catch up with familiar faces and meet new talent that has emerged.
Our final congratulations go to the winners, whose hard work meant they took home one of our covetable trophies to proudly display in their showrooms.
