With an overwhelming amount of entries received in each category for this year’s Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Awards sponsored by Dekton XGloss, our panel of independent judges have just completed their deliberations and after much anticipation we can now exclusively reveal our finalists for each open entry category at the 2016 Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Awards.
With a total of eight awards to be presented on the night, seven of these are the open entry awards which came under the scrutiny of our design and business judges, and one is the Lifetime Achievement Award which is decided by those from within the kitchen industry themselves.
It was encouraging to see such a great response to this year’s awards process and gauge how highly retailers value, not only the potential outcome, but the process itself and which it can bring to their business.
All of this year’s entries were presented to this year’s judges when they met at the Fitzwilliam Hotel, Belfast. Design judges: Des Ewing, Des Ewing Architects, Suzanne Garuda, Sundara Design and Neil Mathews, Neil Mathews Architects and business judges: Robert Gibson, Grant Thornton NI and Thomas Hunter McGowan, Intertrade Ireland were all highly impressed with the level of the entries in their respective categories.
All of the judges deliberated long and hard over this year’s entries, carefully analysing each one and their merits, before a consensus was eventually reached and all of the agreed that they had made the right choices within each of their categories.
It is at this point that we would like to extend warm thanks to everyone who took the time to enter this year’s awards and to our judges for all of their hard work and time dedication.
Finally, we look forward to seeing you all at our gala awards night at Titanic Belfast on Friday 25th November when all of the 2016 IKT award winners will be revealed!
